Estuary Explorers

Estuary Explorers is a brand new school program developed by SeaChange Marine Conservation Society in collaboration with the Cowichan Estuary Nature Centre!

Our school programs are designed to connect and supplement teachers with BC’s core learning objectives such as critical thinking, effective communication, and personal responsibility.

Through hands-on activities, up close experiences, and engaged discussion, learners will be inspired to support local habitats by taking action in their local communities.

In this program, explore and discover how animals use their shape, size, colour, and behaviour to survive in their regular habitats. Learn how quickly changing conditions can impact their ability to stay alive and brainstorm what we can do to keep their homes healthy!

Program Details:
  • Ages K – 5
  • Thursdays: 9:30 – 11am and 11:30am – 1pm
  • Cost: $10/student to a maximum of $250/25 students
