Bring a touch of nature to your next birthday celebration!
We are delighted to offer our beautiful facility, located in Hecate Park, Cowichan Bay, for birthday parties.
With special Covid protocols in place to keep you and your guests safe, the Nature Centre is now able to host small birthday parties again. When you book in with us each guest needs to confirm they do not have cold or flu symptoms and, if they have been exposed to someone with Covid-19, that the have tested negative since that exposure. We also have a mandatory mask mandate for all children and adults aged 5 and up when inside the Nature Centre. Please contact us for our latest Covid guidelines.
Our Birthday Program includes

- 1/2 hour of guided nature activities crafts by one of our wonderful educators
- 1 additional hour of facility rental for your birthday festivities with opportunity to enjoy our touch tank, craft table, and other exhibits
- 15 minutes available before and after for hosts to set up and clean up
Our facility offers:
- Capacity for 15 people (up to 12 children) and 1 staff member
- Wheelchair accessible
- Adult sized folding chairs, 12 child sized chairs, wooden stools
- 3 folding tables
- Washrooms with wheelchair accessibility and change tables
- Sink
- An incredible vista
- Direct access to Hecate Park and the beach shoreline
Cost: $120 for 2hrs (time includes 1 ½ hours for the event and 15min set up before and clean up after)
